Social CirKISH Presents the Second Annual Student Showcase at UNLV’s Ham Hall
Circus acts to feature and benefit Nevada’s at-risk youth

 

Social CirKISH (a 501c-3 after school program) assists Southern Nevada’s at-risk youth develop into functioning members of society by providing a creative and nourishing Circus-themed learning environment. This program teaches a number of creative and unique skills including juggling, aerial work and walking on stilts. Social CirKISH teaches youth how to build trust and reinforces effective communication skills within a team environment.

 

On August 17, 2016 Social CirKISH will be holding their second annual Student Showcase to be held at UNLV’s Ham Concert Hall at 7 pm. Tickets can be procured online at the Social CirKISH website www.socialcirkish.org/rsvp and are complimentary to the public. However, donations are strongly encouraged.

The Social CirKISH is a program created to promote mental, physical, emotional, psychological, and social development with at-risk youth by encouraging students to enjoy safe and fulfilling “risk-taking” activities through the exploration and participation of circus exercises and acts. Students are encouraged to express their minds and ideas to increase self-awareness and acceptance while also interacting and participating with their peers in a number of activities that support and require teamwork and collaboration.
